THE LENS
Born in the late 70's Brendan has always expressed an interest in the arts. Enjoying plays and museums at an early age helped him in developing his own artistic skills. As an early writer he expressed with great details the depths and emotions that art brings to the soul.
He discovered photography while spending vacations traveling on photo shoots with his Uncle. Growing up in Southern California provided every imaginable scenic variation, from the grand Pacific Ocean, to the nearby deserts, and mountains. Everything peaked the interest of this young photographer’s eye. He first started shooting wildlife in the surrounding canyons with his Uncle’s Nikon camera.
Photography immediately became his passion. But, as all budding artist's know you still have to pay the rent, so Brendan pursued cooking and spent the next ten years working at some of San Diego's finest restaurants as a sous chef. During this time he studied photography and continued to develop his skills.
Brendan chose to follow his dream of becoming a professional photographer and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2002. This relocation exposed Brendan to unique opportunities to capture people in all expressions of life.
Brendan has a thriving and successful photography business; he constantly travels to find new and exciting places to capture his love of nature and wildlife. His constant backdrop of the Vegas city scene, its dynamics and people will continue to evolve just as nature’s caterpillar cocoons to become its butterfly.
Brendan’s photography skills are used on commercial, corporate and portraiture projects. The following pages have been compiled for your enjoyment.
